Our Heart for Indigenous Peoples Across Canada
Canada is home to many distinct Indigenous peoples, cultures, languages, histories, and communities. David Woods Ministries Canada approaches ministry with the understanding that no single image, tradition, or experience represents every Indigenous community.
Our desire is simple: to come when invited, to listen before speaking, to honour local leadership, and to serve with the love of Jesus.
We believe meaningful ministry is built through relationship, trust, prayer, and genuine respect for the people and communities we are privileged to meet.
First Nations Across Canada
Canada is home to hundreds of distinct First Nations, each with its own history, leadership, community, language traditions, and local identity. David Woods Ministries Canada approaches Indigenous ministry with respect for those distinctions. We do not assume that one community represents another, and we believe meaningful ministry begins with relationship, listening, prayer, and cooperation with local leaders.

Indigenous peoples across Canada include First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, each with distinct histories, cultures, traditions, and communities. David Woods Ministries Canada does not treat Indigenous ministry as one culture or one experience. We seek to respect those distinctions and to work appropriately with local pastors, leaders, churches, families, and communities.

Our Approach
Relationship Before Platform
We do not believe effective ministry begins with a microphone. It begins with listening.
When David Woods Ministries Canada is invited into an Indigenous community, our desire is to understand the local context, honour the people already serving there, and support what God is doing through local believers and leaders.
We do not come to replace local leadership. We come to serve alongside it.

National Vision
Serving Across Canada
Our vision is national in scope but local in practice. From Atlantic Canada to the Prairies, from the West Coast to northern communities, every invitation is approached individually and with respect for the people and place involved.
We do not assume that ministry in one Indigenous community should look the same in another.
Each community has its own leadership, history, relationships, and needs.
